GrIndLE
For the BGS 9-Day Jam III with theme "Grind It!"
Grind letters out to prevent <Generic Enemy> from forming a 7-letter word!
- enemy letters (7-letter word) slowly advances from the right
- player chooses letters using a "launcher digit"
- player letters are launched from the left
- matching letter destroys other letter
- non-matching letter gets stuck
- each letter "fired" by the player makes the enemy letters advance slightly faster
- game constantly scans for words which can be formed by adding to the surviving letters
- level is lost when display is full (enemy forms a complete 7-letter word)
Future to-do:
- needs options - volume, difficulty, etc... and restart / quit
- level is won if the player clears all letters (need to think about timing here)
- choose level before start playing
- vary the word lists... could do e.g. just numbers (supported but not used)
- high scores - player enters their name [backwards] on the board
- option to restart / quit / level 1 / level 2 / level 3 / etc.
